Jenkins Opens Eastern League Playoffs with Dominant Outing

Jenkins matched a career-high with nine strikeouts

Leathersich dominant in return to Lowell

In his first appearance close to home since becoming a professional, Jack Leathersich was dominant, striking out four in two innings of work for the Brooklyn Cyclones against the Lowell Spinners.  In just 12 2/3 innings this season, Jack has recorded 26 strikeouts and has an ERA of 0.71.

Cubs Call CP Athlete Bryan LaHair Up to the Big Leagues!

Congratulations to Cressey Performance athlete Bryan LaHair, who was called up to the major leagues with the Chicago Cubs on Friday after an outstanding season in Triple A with the Iowa Cubs.  This is Bryan’s first trip to the majors since 2008, when he made his debut with the Seattle Mariners. Corey Kluber Throws 1.1 Scoreless Innings in MLB Debut!

A big congratulations goes out to Cressey Performance athlete Corey Kluber, who made his MLB debut for the Cleveland Indians last night.  Corey struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings pitched.  Congratulations, Corey, on all your hard work being rewarded with a trip to “the show!”

Bryan LaHair Named PCL Most Valuable Player!

Congratulations to Cressey Performance athlete and Chicago Cubs prospect Bryan LaHair on being named Pacific Coast League Most Valuable Player for the 2011 regular season.  Bryan has hit 38 HRs – tops in all of minor league baseball, and enough to give him the Iowa Cubs franchise record.  He also leads the league with 109 RBIs, 76 extra-base hits, and 303 total bases – and sports a .331 batting average.  Click here to read the full story.
