Murphy Smith (A’s AA) had a fantastic start in a 7-1 Midland Rock Hounds win over Frisco. While he wasn’t in line for the win, Murphy impressed with 7.1ip, 5h, 1er and 3k’s. His ERA is now down to a 2.76 on the season. Box
Keith Bilodeau (Giants A) went 2.0 innings, allowing a run on 1 hit and striking out 3. Box

Bryan LaHair (Cubs) continued his hot hitting streak, going 2-4 with a 2 run HR in a loss to the Phillies. Bryan in now near the top of the NL in hitting with a .390 average.
John Andreoli (Cubs A-Advanced) was 2-4 at the plate with 2 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases in an 8-6 loss to the Lakeland Flying Tigers. Box

Cressey Performance Athletes Murphy Smith and Shawn Haviland combined for a 3 hit, 3-2 victory for Oakland AA Affiliate, the Midland RockHounds. Murphy (1-0) pitched six innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits. Shawn covered the final three innings, allowing a single hit and no runs. Shawn earned the first save of his professional career.
