Tony Bonvechio joined the Cressey Sports Performance coaching staff in December of 2014 after completing the internship program. A former college baseball player turned powerlifter, Tony is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and earned his Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Adelphi University in 2013.
Prior to interning at CSP, Tony worked as a personal trainer in Providence, RI, and volunteered with the strength and conditioning staff at Brown University. During graduate school, Tony ran the strength and conditioning programs for the Adelphi field hockey and volleyball teams while completing an internship at Xceleration Sports Training, where he worked primarily with high school baseball and lacrosse players.
Tony played college baseball at St. Michael’s College in Colchester, VT. Shortly after graduating in 2010, Tony began competing in powerlifting and continues to compete in the greater New England area.
