Semi-private training is a structure that has proven successful in everything from collegiate and professional sports, to physical therapy, to cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. While most Cressey Performance clients may not approach any of these extremes, our approach to training borrows from these disciplines in the semi-private mindset.
Our semi-private, or small group, training guarantees an athlete-to-coach ratio of no more than 6:1 – and in most cases, closer to 3:1. All our clients receive individualized programs based on the results of an initial one-on-one assessment, as well as regular progress checks. From here, they’re coached in a small group setting and put into an environment in which they can succeed and have fun.
Semi-private training…
…is more affordable than the classic private (one-on-one) training model that typifies the fitness industry. As such, our clients can train with greater frequency at a fraction of the cost – and therefore make faster progress.
…provides a motivating, unconditionally positive environment. When you’re down, there is always someone alongside you to pick you up. All our clients meet new people and develop strong friendships with those with whom they train. Cressey Performance makes training enjoyable – and in the process, you discover that you’re capable of things that you’d never thought possible.
…allows for flexible scheduling. Sessions start every hour on the hour – and we even do “sliding starts” for those who get caught in traffic, or have some other commitment that comes up. The programming is individualized – and you do it on your schedule. We’re flexible enough to roll with the punches if you need to shuffle your time on the fly – whereas one-on-one training often requires 24 or 48 hours advanced notice for cancellations.
…puts you around coaches and training partners who serve as means of making you accountable to someone other than just yourself.
Eric and Tony are also available for one-time consultations, and our staff has a limited number of one-on-one training openings for those who prefer one-on-one training.
